Ex-reality TV star and dog lover Layla Flaherty recently spoke to K9 Magazine revealing all about her upbringing rescuing animals in Ireland with her mum.
Now, as she’s taken her first steps into the pet world and set to become a qualified dog groomer, she’s using her experience and glamour to help Liverpool animal rescue, Carla Lane Animals in Need in Melling.

Set to meet dogs such as Izzy, a Rottweiler girl, and Bobby, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier boy, Layla will be giving dogs at the rescue centre a makeover to help them find loving new homes during National Dog Adoption Month, which is run by the UK’s largest dog adoption site, DogsBlog.com.

Speaking ahead of her time at the rescue, Layla said: “If people adopted a dog they would be saving so many animals lives. Too many people give up their pets, and too few people adopt from shelters. An adopted animal is no different than buying an animal and can bring just as much happiness, if not more, to any home. A dog’s love is unconditional and a never ending loyalty regardless of where the dog has come from!”
